Tip #1. Poll the article you are blogging on.

December 17th, 2008

Bloggers often respond to articles in the press, adding their own perspective, or expressing their views for or against it. A poll add another dimension to the post, allowing readers to express their opinion of the article too. Through the poll results you can see the reader sentiment. Do they strongly agree with your position on the article, or not?

For an example, see this post, where a poll on the Australian target of 5pc reduction in CO2 emissions has been polled.

This is the first post in developing the poll application. To date I have implemented the basics of the processing engine, helping me to think through the ideas. This is going to be fast, flexible, and rigorous.

The initial interface is inspired by craigslist to give a simple, community-based appearance. The idea is to minimize clicks and distinguish from the garish web2.0 themes. This site gets straight to work, advertising sites, collecting data, earning money.

Try to avoid setting up an account. The user would just enter their email where needed, pay by paypal if necessary and be identified with the question code.
